Ddolbeng Two of Us
Sit side by side and take turns with the die
Play now
This one needs somebody else in the room. Put one tablet between you, sit side by side, and take it in turns to roll and watch each other go.
How to play
- Sit side by side, and each of you picks a friend.
- Whoever's turn it is rolls the die on their side, and their friend walks that many squares.
- Land on a ladder and you climb up. Land on a snake and you slide down.
- It ends when you BOTH get there. Whoever arrives first waits and claps the other one in.
For parents
- Nobody loses. The game does not end when the first player arrives. It ends when you both do, and whoever got there first waits on the last square and claps the other one in.
- Nothing counts wins. No tally of who has won more is kept anywhere. Between a brother and a sister that is not a scoreboard, it is a grievance.
- It saves nothing. No account, no sign-in, no advertising and no purchases. Only the language and sound settings stay on this device.
- No fail states and no timers. Nothing hurries a child who is thinking.
What you need
One tablet and two people. It opens in a browser: nothing to install, nothing to sign up for. Ages 5 to 9, and whoever is sitting with them.
